Nocturnal gunfight breaks out in Pulwama village | KNO

Pulwama, April 01 (KNO) :A gunfight broke out between government forces and militants at a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district during last night. Official sources told KNO that a joint team of 55 RR, SOG and CRPF conducted cordon at Lassipora area of Pulwama. The cordon was launched following specific inputs about the presence of some militants, police sources said. As such the joint team of forces intensified the searches and fired some warning shots towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants too opened fire triggering off a gunfight, they said. As per reports two to three militants are believed to be trapped in a residential house. When this report was filled exchange of fire was on.(KNO)
